Eikon LA Brand Radar bot
This page describes an automated program ("bot") run by Eikon LA.
It is a small, private market-research tool, not a search engine and not an AI crawler.
What it reads
- Public product listings of online stores: product names, prices, sizes and whether they
are in stock, plus product photos.
- Only pages anyone can see without logging in. It never logs in, never fills in forms,
never adds to carts, never buys, and never tries to get past password pages or
"store closed" pages.
What it does with the data
It keeps a private record of public catalog changes. The data is not sold, shared, or republished,
and it is not used to train AI models.
How often
- Most stores: 1 to 6 requests a day. On a day a store releases new products, it may be
checked about every 30 minutes for up to 4 hours, then every few hours. Never more than
25 requests to one store in a day.
- One request at a time from a single connection: at least 10 seconds between pages of one store's list, and at
least 3 minutes between visits to different stores.
- Never more than 300 store requests a day in total, across all stores.
- If a store answers "too many requests" (HTTP 429), the bot stops all store requests for
at least a day and slows down for good.
How it identifies itself
robots.txt and opting out
- The bot reads each store's
robots.txt (at most once a day) and follows it.
It skips any page that robots.txt disallows for all bots (User-agent: *).
- To opt out, either disallow the pages in your robots.txt, or email us with your store's
web address. We will stop visiting your store within 2 business days.
